Evan’s passion for real estate took hold early in his youth, surrounded by family for whom the interest was wide-spread. His father was an appraiser, and Evan would frequently accompany his dad to properties for assessment. It was during this time that he developed an affinity for real estate and became truly interested in the unique character of each home and the potential value for both residents and investors. Evan learned to appreciate the different features of properties as seen through the eyes of an appraiser. It was also during this time that he learned to enjoy the “thrill of the hunt” as it applies to real estate.
Fast forward several years: Evan enrolled in the real estate program while attending the University of Alabama’s business program. The Alabama Center for Real Estate (A.C.R.E.) is a highly recognized program in the real estate field: regarded both for its academics and for the real-world experience it provides to business students. For Evan, choosing this program was a no-brainer, he knew his passion for matching people and families to their perfect homes combined with a real estate specialized degree would lead to a fulfilling career where he could have a real impact on peoples’ lives and develop lifelong relationships.
After graduating from Alabama, Evan jumped straight into real estate full-time and has dedicated himself to residential real estate ever since. When the opportunity to be a part of Sotheby’s International Realty arose, it was a dream come true. After learning that the Sotheby’s brand is dedicated to providing the highest level of expertise and customer service, he knew it would be a perfect fit.
